WALL FRAMING SOLUTIONS
iLevel assists builders and dealers in elevating your skillfulness in building straight and stable walls by avoiding wasted time and effort on your materials, lessening callbacks and thereby, making your lives easier while also ensuring that your profitability shoots up.
iLevel® Shear Brace
Easy to install, the iLevel Shear Brace protects your walls against damages caused by lateral (sideways) forces. It is guranteed to even exceed the International Residential Code (IRC) requirements for both engineered and prescriptive design for the most outstanding lateral force resistance.
iLevel® Shear Panel
With a balanced design that is comprised of narrow wall sections, pre-drilled access holes, and simplified installation feature comes the guaranteed performance of the site-built iLevel Shear Panels to shield your home against eathquakes and hurricanes. This is the assurance of iLevel's years of engineered wood experience.
TimberStrand® LSL Wall Framing
The revolutionary TimberStrand LSL Wall Framing cuts knots. twisting, shrinking, sheetrock cuts, and bowing off your walls, cabinets, and countertops. They also gets rid of tile and grout cracks due to the stable and flat surfaces they create when installing tiles.
TimberStrand® LSL Headers
Affordable, stable, easy to install and designed for short span applications, TimberStrand LSL Headers provide one-step solutions for residential door and window openings and helps avoid sheetrock cuts as well as lessen jobsite wastes. They are also available in pre-cut lengths.
TimberStrand® Tall Walls
Right from the studs, sill plates, and headers made from Timberland LSL, iLevel gives you the power to put up walls beyond 10 feet to up to 30 feet in height that will surely be stable, straight, and strong without overbuilding.
TimberStrand® Treated Sill Plate
Fight field treating, save time, and losen the fuss with the Timberstrand LSL Treated Sill Plates that install quickly and are guaranteed to defend against insect damage and decay.
Straight and strong, these sill plates are treated with the patented StranGuard process on the cross section and lets you throw away the anxiety that field treatment gives once you drill for anchor bolts.
Parallam® PSL Columns
With the ability to carry the highest load capacity, especially when combined with the very strong Parallam PSL Beams, the Parallam PSL Beams open you up to the possibility of open floor plans and longer spans. These beams that maximize efficient use of wood materials to minimize waste may be stained or finished for a great look.
Structurwood® Wall Sheathing
The superb engineering of the Structurwood Wall Sheathing defends these panels against buckling, cupping, warping, and sagging. Each panel is marked with two-way nail lines at 16" and 24" spacing that may be applied vertically or horizontally that gets rid of the need for chalk lines.
TimberStrand® LSL 45 degree Columns
No guessworks with these machine-cut solid columns that make attaching wallboards an easy task. The straight and true Timberstrand LSL 45 Degree Columns also allows you to enjoy the benefit of straight walls and minimizes the hassles of nail pops and joint cracks.
Microllam® LVL Headers
Extreme Versatility is what the Microllam LVL headers--made from proven iLevel's proven Microllam laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL)--can greatly offer. They are stable and work well agains warping, splitting, and shrinking. They also are excellentl with various applications and can be assembled quickly on the site to avoid heavy lifting and wasted materials.
Zone Framing
Combine iLevel's engineered materials that are straight and twist-free and the performance tested lumber and you will get the best out of your framing budget. Zone framing does this for you. Straight walls free from shrinking or bowing, true cabinets easily installed, and flat stable areas that are kept away from cracking. This is what excellent performance is all about.
WALL BRACING
Wall Bracing is an organization of constructed interior and exterior wall segments attached to the roof, floor, and building foundation that are designed to defend the structure from lateral movements (sideways) caused by the wind, earthquake, or other natural phenomenon.
Wall Bracing Requirements
The International Residential Code (IRC), International Building Code (IBC) and the Uniform Building Code (UBC) set the code provisions for wall bracing. All these mandate wall bracing to be constructed with in conventional light-frame wood, although the IRC has eight (8) traditional methods and two (2) newr ones that give narrower choices. The eight options require a minimum of 4' x 8' panel of specified work pieces nailed into stud framing at a specied location with a particular sted quality demanded.
The most common type of wall bracing is a 4' x 8' sized wood structural panel sheathing of OSB or Plywood nailed over an upright house framing 16" to 24" on center.
Prescriptive and Engineered Designs
For typical buildings where expected winds loads are milder, builders can use prescriptive wall-bracing rules contained within the International Residential Code (IRC). Prescriptive Design, which does not require a Design Professional of Record (DPOR), is called for in areas with SeismiC Design Category (SDC) of D2 or less and a Wind Speed Category below 110 mph.
The higher the lateral wind loads are, the stronger the building structure should be. That's why in the zones closest to the coast, where design wind speeds exceed 100 or 110 mph, building codes require them to have an engineered design.
TJI® JOISTS
35 years ago, Trus Joist presented us with the wooden I-joist, that has proven itself to be strong and consistent key players of the FrameWorks® Floor System and Roofings as well.
Lightweight but greatly stable and come in long lengths, the TJI Joists are conventionally easier to install than traditional framing designed to work against damages to your floor and roof like warping, twisting, and shrinking, allowing you to save on both labor and materials. This is why throughout these years, they are still the most popular choice.
iLevel® Performance Tested Lumber
A product of extensive grading and quality control process, this is the lumber that is designed to save costs and guarantee inevitable strength and maximum reliability even for the most demanding construction applications.
It is available in four major lumber species namely Southern Pine, Douglas Fir, Hem-Fir, and SPF and in a variety of sizes and grades to facilitate efficiency in design and optimization in performance.
The Performance Tested Lumber can be used for several purposes ranging from the manufacture of roof and floor trusses, glue-laminated beams to being a stable structural part of floor joists and wall framing systems.
Structurwood® Panels and RBS
iLevel's Structurwood® RBS (Radiant Barrier Sheathing) are foil-laminated panels that are specially created to shield your roof from the sun's heat that penetrates through the standard sheathing and heats up the air in your attic space. It acts as a solid barrier that collects the hot air and prevents the heat to penetrate through the insulation into your rooms that causes the temperature to rise and consequently, increase the electricity bill for the homeowner as more energy is exhausted to cool the house. The Structurwood® RBS reflects the heat back outside and is just the cost-saver you need.
